Our process has evolved over the years we have been in business. We have made changes based on feedback from clients and what we have discovered worked best.

Our design process is fun, engaging, and collaborative. It includes sketches, drawings, computer models, and thorough analysis. The process is iterative, meaning we refine the design as we go to create a final product that meets your specific needs.

Our Process

  1. Discover Phase | CLIENT INTERVIEW | TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION |Project Definition | Letter of Intent

  • Meet with the client to discuss the project
  • Provide an overview of technology options
  • Use Virtual Reality Design software for media rooms and home cinemas to help visualize the space. (This method may also be implemented in Step 2 or 3 of our process.)

  1. INITIAL DESIGN Study & Preliminary DRAWINGS

Next, we perform a rapid design study using your architectural plans. We incorporate the lighting, shading, and technology systems you would like into a preliminary technology design.

This design is not intended for construction.
 
We provide basic area schematic drawings that give you a graphical view into the scope. This is paired with the initial proposal. We review the design and adjustments are made, as needed.

For lighting, this is preliminary as no lighting design has been done. We make an educated guess by considering layers of light and control points for a budget on the lighting control which may include the following:

  • Lighting Zones and Areas Controlled
  • Number of loads controlled
  • Number of control points
  • Preliminary specialty loads

  1. DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS

Once the preliminary drawings have been approved, if it’s a part of the budget and required by the project, we verify and complete the design and develop necessary construction drawings. Drawings assist with fixture placement, wiring of system components, component placement, and the coordination of important technical elements.

Note: Lighting Design would be a part of this phase. 

  1. Deliver-CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION & PROJECT MANAGEMENT

After construction begins, we follow the project to completion and ensure smooth execution of the design.

We will install the wiring and equipment for your project along with documentation of your project. This allows for simplified communication with designers, builders, and other trades as needed to ensure a quick and efficient installation.

Programming and Customization of the system: What good is all that technology if you don’t have an easy way to control it? We can create a custom program for your project that lets all your technology communicate as one. It’ll include only the technology that matters most to you and, per our initial conversation, let you manage it the way you want. We utilize the same user interface for your dedicated touchpad, tablet, or smartphone.

We confirm that the systems are complete and commissioned at the end of the project.

  1. SERVICES & SUPPORT

For projects where we provide installation, our client services team supports the technology system after move-in day. We can implement changes to programming as requested and remotely update, monitor, and service the system.

One of the things that makes us stand out from the competition is our commitment to service after installation. Through our special service packages, we offer remote monitoring, annual maintenance calls, unlimited phone support and quick service calls. If a problem arises in the future, you can rest assured that it will be resolved quickly.
